About Us
Weaver Music Boosters, Inc. is the heart and soul of the vibrant music community at Weaver Middle School in Merced, CA. Comprised of dedicated parents and families of band students, our mission is to enrich the lives of our students and support the incredible band programs at Weaver Middle School. The organization has existed since 1985 as an unincorporated association, having been incorporated in 2018 first as Weaver Middle School Band Boosters and then having been succeeded by the current organization. WMB is a subordinate group of the Parent Boosters USA, Inc. and is therefore a non profit 501(c)3 charitable organization.
Our Purpose
At Weaver Music Boosters, we are driven by our passion for music education and our commitment to nurturing the talents of our young musicians. Our key objectives include:
Recruitment of Volunteers: We believe in the power of community involvement. Our volunteers play a crucial role in shaping the musical journey of our students.
Fundraising: We work tirelessly to secure vital funds that directly benefit the band programs at Weaver Middle School. These funds enable us to provide resources and opportunities that enhance the musical experience for all.
Events: We organize and host a variety of engaging events throughout the year, fostering a sense of togetherness among students, parents, staff, and teachers within the Weaver Middle School music community.

We take immense pride in being an integral part of the award-winning band program at Weaver Middle School. Our collaborative efforts with dedicated educators and passionate students have consistently led to remarkable achievements and accolades.
What we do
We have accomplished many things over the last 38 years. We have purchased uniforms and instruments, sponsored trips and scholarships and much more.
Fundraising: WMB often organizes and participates in various fundraising efforts to raise money for the band program. This can include events like bake sales, car washes, restaurant fundraisers, crab feeds and more. Funds raised may be used for instruments, uniforms, music, equipment, and travel expenses.
Volunteer Recruitment: WMB plays a crucial role in recruiting and coordinating volunteers to help with various aspects of band activities, such as chaperoning trips, assisting with rehearsals, and managing events.
Event Planning: The boosters are involved in planning and executing events like concerts, competitions, and fundraising galas. They handle logistics, ticket sales, concessions, and other event-related tasks.
Uniform and Equipment Maintenance: The band boosters often oversee the care and maintenance of uniforms, instruments, and equipment to ensure they are in good condition for performances.
Transportation: WMB coordinates transportation logistics for band trips, competitions, and performances, including securing buses or arranging carpools.
Food and Refreshments: Boosters frequently provide snacks, meals, and drinks for band members during long rehearsals, competitions, and travel. They also ensure access to water and refreshments during performances.
Communication: Boosters help facilitate communication between band directors, parents, and students. They may maintain a website, send out newsletters, and manage social media accounts to keep everyone informed.
Financial Management: Booster organizations manage the finances of the band program, including budgeting, financial reporting, and ensuring transparency in financial matters.
Advocacy: WMB advocates for the band program within the school district, community, and with local government entities to secure support and resources.
Scholarships: WMB has given out scholarships in the past and plan to do so again in the future to assist former Weaver band students in pursuing further education in music.
Community Outreach: Boosters often engage in outreach to involve the broader community in supporting the band program through sponsorships, donations, and partnerships.
Instrument Purchase and Repair: Weaver Music fundraises for the purchase of new instruments or the repair and maintenance of existing ones.
